SAWP Steel Limited, originally incorporated as Sri Ananda Subbaraya Wire Products Pvt Ltd in 1995, has established itself as a prominent player in the steel manufacturing industry. The company initially focused on producing binding wire, with a capacity of 6,000 TPA at its Aganampudi facility in Visakhapatnam, Andhra Pradesh. In 2005, the company expanded its capacity to 15,000 TPA.
In 2016, SAWP Steel took a significant step forward by acquiring a new industrial site in RG Peta, Vizianagaram District, where it built a state-of-the-art facility with an enhanced capacity of 18,000 TPA for the production of binding wire and high-carbon wire. Further diversification occurred in 2017, when the company ventured into trading steel and allied products, including raw materials like coal and iron ore, as well as finished products such as TMT rebars.

A pivotal development in SAWP Steel’s growth trajectory occurred in 2022 with the inauguration of its Fastener Division. This division, with an installed capacity of 5,400 TPA, is dedicated to the production of nails, specifically for export to markets in the USA and Europe.
The new facility leverages advanced technology to manufacture high-quality fasteners that meet the stringent standards required by global markets. This expansion into the fastener sector represents SAWP Steel’s ongoing commitment to diversification, innovation, and global business expansion
